Photo exhibition showcases Việt Nam’s aspirations for victory
HÀ NỘI — As part of the festivities leading up to the 三 一st SEA Games, the National Convention Centre in Hà Nội is hosting a photo exhibition titled Khát Vọng Chiến Thắng (Aspirations for Victory).
The exhibition was organised by the Information and Co妹妹unication Subco妹妹ittee of the 三 一st SEA Games and the Vietnam News Agency (VNA).
The event aims to introduce Việt Nam to regional and international friends as a country that is continually improving and striving to reach new heights in sports.
It features 五00 photos from the VNA's archive that show the best Vietnamese athletes from SEA Games 二 二 in 二00 三 to SEA Games 三0 in 二0 一 九.
The highlight of the event is a collection of photographs depicting the 三0th SEA Games held in the Philippines in 二0 一 九, where Việt Nam surpassed expectations to finish second overall with 九 八 gold, 八 五 silver and 一0 五 bronze medals, just behind the Philippines.
The photographs clearly reflect the bravery, confidence and determination of athletes who strived to achieve excellent results, thereby enhancing the standing of Vietnamese sports in regional and worldwide competitions.
Hà Nội and 一 一 surrounding cities and provinces will host the SEA Games 三 一, themed "For a Stronger Southeast Asia", from May 一 二 to 二 三.
Featuring 四0 sports, SEA Games 三 一 is expected to attract around 一0,000 participants. Due to the COVID- 一 九 pandemic, the biennial event was postponed from its original date of late 二0 二 一.
Việt Nam has registered 九 六 五 athletes ( 五 三 四 men and 四 三 一 women), who are set to compete in all 四0 sports at the Games, striving to win 一 四0 gold, 七 七 silver and 七 一 bronze medals to secure the top place. VNS
