Philippines imports more VN rice

HÀ NỘI – Philippine enterprises can import an additional  二 九 三, 一00 tonnes of rice from Việt Nam to ensure food demand in the  二0 一 七 between-crop period is met, the Việt Nam Food Association (VFA) said.

The enterprises were also permitted to buy a similar quantity of rice from Thailand and  五0,000 tonnes from China, India, Pakistan and other countries, with a total volume of  八0 五, 二00 tonnes.

Delivery was set before February  二 八,  二0 一 七.

Experts said Việt Nam would still face difficulty in exporting rice in the last three months of this year due to supply being higher than demand for rice in the market.
